‘I was looking for a horseback riding adventure to celebrate a milestone birthday and the Thirlestane Castle Ride truly delivered! From waking up in a castle each morning to cantering through the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside on a lovely Irish Sport Horse, this is a trip I will never forget!’

‘I can’t recommend this ride enough! The accommodation in the castle was very luxurious and spacious. I slept so well every night which was a bonus. The food and dining experiences were decadently enjoyable, enhanced by the warm welcome of the hosts. The horses were sturdy and reliable and the scenery was breathtaking as we discovered the Estate, rolling hills covered in purple heather, green grassy meadows and transported to a nearby beach for a final gallop day. The horses were kind and responsive and it was evident that they were well loved. Gemma, our guide was an absolute professional, who made the ride so enjoyable. She managed the days of riding with just the right amount of activity. It was hard to leave our newfound friends and horses, that we shared so much joy with.’
